Layout
Downstairs, there is a good-sized living room with a woodburning stove and plenty of armchairs and settees. The kitchen / dining area has a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier (there is a rotary clothes dryer outside). There is an electric oven and hob, microwave and a Raeburn for the winter months.
The stairs are straight and not steep. Upstairs there is a large family bathroom and three bedrooms, each of which sleeps two people. One of the rooms has a bunk bed, one a double bed and the third has twin single beds.
Facilities
As you will no doubt have gathered from the testimonials, Castle Cottage is very well equipped - a real home from home. There is reliable superfast broadband, a TV and DVD player as well as books and games for all the family. The kitchen is famously well-stocked!
Outside there is an enclosed patio area to the rear and to the front a lawn and private parking for two or three cars.
Local Amenities
Truro is the county town of Cornwall and has a pretty good range of supermarkets and independent shops. The nearest supermarket is the new Waitrose in Truro which opened a few years ago, with The Great Cornish Food Store next door - a good place for a light lunch and some souvenir produce. There is a Tesco (with two hours' parking) and a good Marks and Spencer in the centre of town. Aldi and Sainsbury's are just on the other side of Truro.
St Austell is also quite convenient - there is a large Asda store there, as well as another branch of Tesco and a brand new Lidl.
Most supermarkets will deliver to the cottage by arrangement.
