The Lost Gardens of Heligan are some 5 miles from the cottage. This is a wonderful day out - do read Tim Smit's book before you go if you have the chance.
We have particularly enjoyed visiting the Tate Gallery at St Ives and National Trust properties at Lanhydrock (a perennial favourite), Trerice and Cotehele. The Japanese gardens at St Mawgan are also well worth a visit.
